Time up
Enjoyed the day at the reserve. Water level still very low. Rain again tonight. In reality it is going to take a lot of rain to get the levels any where near what they were. Some will argue that it is global warning and climate change. There are no rivers or mountains to feed these lakes. Hope you all have a great remainder of the day. Take care now.

Wonderful
What a wonderful, though very windy day it has been today. I spent a few minutes in the Hyde watching this beautiful, young, Great Spotted Woodpecker. He seemed to stop and pose for me for a while. I captured it all on video too, so maybe later, will put a clip or two up on YouTube for you all to see and enjoy. They are such a colorful bird, and has to be in my top list of fave birds ;)
Also I saw once again, the Teal Duck as seen here on the right. Another beautiful duck with a green eye patch, and the easy to identify, yellow patch with black edges, on its rear. I love to see this little fellow.
Well, that is enough from me. I have had a great day, so until the next time. Thank you for stopping by.

Remember the Terrapin ?
If you have watched my videos on YouTube, then you may remember a video I filmed of a Terrapin sat on a tree branch, catching some rays. The water was right up to the branch and thats the one you can see on this photo. Now that should give you an idea, of how low the water level is. For those that cannot remember, here is a photo of it.
Nice Day
